Thursday and Wednesday are often the best days to go for shorter lines, while Saturday and Sunday tend to be the busiest. The most popular months are typically October, August and September, while December, November and April are normally quieter.

Stay prepped with the updated Six Flags Magic Mountain bag policy that limits bag dimensions to 12 x 12 x 6 inches. Remember, this applies to all bags, including backpacks and purses! Also, bear in mind that all bags undergo x-ray screening at the entrance under the new Six Flags bag policy.

Plan to visit when attendance is lightest. Best Bets: weekdays during the summer and any regular operating day during the months of April, May, June, and September.

Go on a weekday if you can, weekends are terribly crowded. If u can get in as soon as it opens go right to X2 and Tatsu (the longest rollercoaster lines) or head to the back of the park first. Of course a season pass is a great value but the food quality needs a lot of work.

No outside food, beverages or coolers may be brought into Six Flags Great America. Exceptions are made for guests with special dietary needs including certain food allergies and baby food/formula.

If you are planning this as a special date and you know for sure that she enjoys Six Flags and the rides AND you have the money, then go for it. Also if you are looking to go to amusem*nt park find out when their public schools open for the new year. Some states start during the 2nd week of August which will lower attendance in those cities.

Parking at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson can be free if you have a season pass. For a single visit, parking can run $45 to $60 for priority parking closer to the main gate. By comparison, it costs $30 per day to park at a Disney World theme park.
